Caren Cooper was born and raised in New York. Caren started her equestrian career at age 7. She competed on thoroughbred horses, showing the local and rated hunter/jumper circuits. As she grew older and more experienced she began teaching and training. Caren has an Associates degree in Equine Science and a Bachelors degree in Animal Science from the State University of New York. In college she continued her equine studies focusing on equine medicine and training. Caren was a member of the equestrian team and vice president of the student horseman's association. She discovered dressage in college and found that it wasn't just for "the elderly riders that are afraid to jump"!! ! When she is not managing the clinic, you will find her competing in the dressage arena. While she continues to train all breeds, the PRE Spanish horse (Andalusian) is where her passion lies. Just ask her about her beautiful 4yr old Spanish Stallion! Currently residing at her farm are three horses ("Godiva"," Cruizer", and" Vasallo del C"), along with her 2 dogs ("Sam" & "Blackjack"), and "Bodie" the parrot.
